This year, both #CSEdWeek and the Hour of Code activities will align with the theme #CSEverywhere. This theme highlights the impact that computer science is making everywhere and the relationship that computer science has to different subjects, industries, career paths, and our everyday lives.
CS has helped unlock mysteries in math and medicine, it’s been used to create art. CS built your phone, the internet, your favorite games, movies, and tv shows. CS helped us eradicate diseases and enabled us to explore the depth of space. CS helps us imagine ancient civilizations and build the cities of the future. CS is everywhere, and we’re discovering new uses for it every day.
Later this month, we’ll be rolling out a new set of classroom posters to help you showcase #CSEverywhere in your classroom. Also, mark your calendars to join us for November CSTA Engage meetup, set for Nov. 10, at 5:30 p.m. CT, that will focus on how to prepare for CSEdWeek and how to use these resources in your classroom.
