CSEdWeek 2022, Dec. 5-11, is right around the corner. The CSEdWeek theme this year highlights the progress that has occurred in computer science education over the past decade. There have been many great advancements in making CS education more equitable and accessible for all learners.
This year, we aim to celebrate our progress while keeping our eye on the advancements we still need to make so that every student has an equal opportunity to learn computer science.
How to Host a CSEdWeek Event
Getting your local community involved in CS education is the best way to continue to make progress in making CS Education accessible to all. If you’d like to host an event in your classroom, school, or local community, we have put together some resources for you!
Official event guides will be coming in early November, but in the meantime, you can access the following resources to help you begin planning your CSEdWeek event!

Need supplies? Coming Soon: Buy an event kit from the CSTA store. Kits will include two 2022 CS Hero Posters sets, a 2’x3’ vinyl CSEdWeek sign, and 50 CSEdWeek stickers.

One of the ways we are showcasing progress in CS education is through a video highlighting individual stores. If you'd like to participate and share your own CS Education progress, please submit a video clip no longer than 30 seconds completing the following prompt.

Save the Date: Official CSEdWeek Events
Thursday, Nov. 10 — CSEdWeek Preview: Join the CSEdWeek committee to get an overview of everything that is happening during CSEdWeek. We’ll share our new 2022 CS Heroes and walk you through some ideas on how to host your own CSEdWeek event. You’ll have a chance to connect with other educators to see how they are celebrating CSEdWeek and bounce ideas off one another for how to have the best CSEdWeek ever!
Monday, Dec. 5 — CSEdWeek Kick Off Panel: Join us as we celebrate the start of CSEdWeek! We’ll hear from a select panel of the 2022 CS Heroes about their own progress and celebrate community milestones in CS Education.
Share your CS Journey on Social Media
We’ve come a long way in CS Education, and we want to celebrate YOUR accomplishments this year! We want to know where you started your CS Education journey and how it’s going now. Use the Twitter and Instagram templates to share your journey on social media using the hashtags #CSEdWeek and #CelebratingProgress.
